Kneaders embraces Italian fare for summer

Kneaders Bakery and Café is inviting its customers to experience a taste of Italy during its “Viva L’Italia” summer promotion

Kneaders Bakery and Café is inviting its customers to experience a taste of Italy during its “Viva L’Italia” summer promotion. Starting July 1, six Italian-themed dishes and small bites will be on the menu, according to a company press release.

As part of the summer promotion, Kneaders will also give two customers Italian vacations for two, courtesy of Destinations Travel and Delta Vacations. Fans can enter the Italian vacation sweepstakes by visiting kneadersitaliansummer.com.   

The “Viva L’Italia” menu includes:

• Tuscan Bistro Sandwich: A trio of classic Italian meats — prosciutto, pepperoni and salami — combined with provolone cheese, basil, olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
• Pesto Tortellini Salad with Pine Nuts: Cool pasta salad featuring cheese-filled tortellini tossed with pesto, pine nuts and parmesan.
• Maria’s Caprese Salad: A classic caprese salad of juicy tomatoes, fresh mozzarella and basil with a Kneaders twist: crispy bacon and a drizzle of ranch dressing.
• Mama’s Citrus Cannoli: A crisp shell hand-filled with sweet orange-lemon cream, dipped in chocolate and sprinkled with mini chocolate chips. 
• Hand Crafted Italian Sodas: Italian sodas made by hand in Stone Fruit and Black Raspberry flavors, each garnished with sliced fruit and whipped cream.
• Italian Gelato: Authentic Italian gelato in two flavors direct from Italy: classic pistachio and salted caramel.
