Kitchen United expands into Ohio, Georgia

February 12, 2019

Virtual restaurant Kitchen United will open in Columbus, Ohio, and Atlanta, Georgia, this spring as it continues its national expansion.

Kitchen United provides commercial kitchen space for brands and concepts to help them expand off-premise delivery, pickup and catering without having to build out existing locations or disrupt dining experiences, according to a press release.

The company also provides consumer and operational insights to help brands customize their business to meet local demand while boosting productivity and revenue.

The Ohio space is located at 1471-1481 West Goodale Blvd. in Grandview Heights, near the redeveloped Grandview Yard and close to major thoroughfares, downtown Columbus, Ohio State University and the suburbs of Grandview Heights and Upper Arlington.

"Our goal at Kitchen United is to help restaurants effectively and efficiently capitalize on growing consumer demand and increase revenue either by entering a new market or neighborhood in a cost-effective way or by easing the operational challenge created by consumers who want to be anywhere but inside the restaurant," Kitchen United CEO Jim Collins said in the release.

Located in a high-growth area of Atlanta, the West Midtown Kitchen Center will be housed in a redeveloped creative office, where restaurant partners will be an amenity to office workers. The location offers access to the Georgia Institute of Technology via side streets, enabling drivers to avoid freeway traffic and reduce estimated delivery times.

The company expects to open 15 additional locations in the coming year in markets including Los Angeles, Phoenix, Seattle, Denver and New York City. It currently has kitchen centers open in Pasadena, California and River North in Chicago, Illinois.
