Florida's Kisses From Italy Inc. has made its way to California thanks to first-time owner, Sharon Preston, who plans to open additional locations in the future.

"Kisses From Italy offers a dining experience not found anywhere else, and we are eager for the Chino community to experience it," Preston said in a company press release. "The ingredients used in menu offerings are unmatched in quality, and the atmosphere truly does make everyone who walks in the door feel like family. The people of Chino are in for an authentic treat."

The restaurant opened on May 28 at 4180 Edison Ave., Suite 110, joining four other locations in south Florida and Italy.

Kisses From Italy founders Claudio Ferri and Michael Di Turi — who were childhood friends in Canada — modeled the concept after delis and bakeries owned by Di Turi's grandfather in Italy in the 1950s.

"When Claudio and I started Kisses From Italy, we wanted to reflect the delis and bakeries that my grandfather owned back in the day," Di Turi said in the releae. "We're confident that Sharon will continue the legacy and we look forward to seeing her grow their business."

A fusion of Italian heritage with American staples, the Kisses From Italy menu includes fresh sandwiches and paninis off the grill as well as burgers, chicken wings, fries, mozzarella sticks, onion rings, lasagna, panzerotti and an assortment of desserts. It also serves coffee and breakfast around the clock.
