Portland-based Killer Burger has signed a lease for its ninth corporate location to open at 325 NE Russell St., in northeast Portland, a news release said.

The 2,600-square-foot restaurant, which has prime access and visibility to Russell Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., is opening early next year, according to TJ Southard, founder and CEO of Killer Burger.

"The Portland community has welcomed us with open arms over the past 10 years," he said in the release. "So, when we saw that there was an opportunity to keep growing in the Portland metro area it was an easy decision for us. We're excited to expand our presence in Portland and allow burger lovers in a new part of town to indulge in the perfect burger experience with their friends and family."

The menu contains a mix of classic and original tastes, and all burgers are served with fries and come topped with bacon and select proprietary sauces. With the example of fan-favorite Peanut Butter Pickle Bacon Burger, creativity and tradition collide perfectly on the menu, according to the release.

With 11 existing locations across Oregon and Washington, the brand has its eyes set on expanding its presence in the Pacific-Northwest and beyond over the next five years through strategic franchising efforts.
