Killer Burger adding to hometown lineup

Portland-based Killer Burger is opening the city's fifth restaurant and the brand's 13th location overall in a shopping and restaurant district in the Slabtown neighborhood at1620 N.W. 23rd St., according to a company press release.

"The surrounding area of NW 23rd is the perfect spot for our next Portland restaurant," TJ Southard, founder and CEO of Killer Burger, said in the release. "It's an energetic area with a great existing dining scene that Killer Burger can really be an asset to."

Now with 12 locations across Oregon and Washington, the brand has its eyes set on expanding its presence in the Pacific Northwestern region and beyond over the next five years through franchising, Southard said.
