Kentucky to consider calorie counts for restaurant chains
February 16, 2009
Lexington Herald-Leader: Kentucky has joined the list of states and cities considering regulations regarding menu labeling. The recently filed legislation would affect restaurant chains with 10 or more locations in the state, requiring them to post calorie counts on menu boards.
A more extensive measure last year that would have required restaurants to provide nutritional value of menu items as well as calorie counts was unsuccessful.
