December 9, 2007
ATLANTA — FOCUS Brands has announced that Kelly Roddy has been named brand president of Schlotzsky's, which operates approximately 365 locations nationwide.
Since acquiring the brand in November 2006, FOCUS Brands president and chief executive officer Steve Romaniello has been leading Schlotzsky's while seeking a growth-oriented leader to take the concept's helm.
Roddy joins Schlotzsky's from H-E-B Grocery Co., a 102-year-old retailer with more than 300 locations throughout Texas and Mexico, where he served as director of sales and marketing before becoming director of retail operations. Before joining H-E-B, Roddy was vice president and executive director of new business development for Scholastic Corp., the national book publisher, distributor and retailer. Prior to that, Roddy spent eight years with Wal-Mart Stores Inc. in a variety of positions.
