Johnny Rockets restaurant chain has introduced its summer flavors, which were inspired by Route 66, running between Chicago and Santa Monica, California, according to a company press release.

The limited-time menu items feature three sandwiches in honor of locations across Route 66. Representing Chicago is the Big Pastrami Pretzel Burger, the Midwest’s offering is the Heartland Veggie Boca Burger, and the California BLT Avocado Chicken Sandwich represents the West Coast, according to the release. Also new are three summer floats made with Cherry Coke, Fanta Orange and Barq's Root Beer.  All are available at participating restaurants through August 2.

"Our new culinary team has been working on introducing new flavors and ideas that you wouldn't expect from Johnny Rockets," said Joel Bulger, CMO.  "Our guests will be excited about these new items and to see what's coming next at Johnny Rockets."
