Johnny Rockets adds to operations team

The fast casual burger joint has added three executives to its operations team.

Johnny Rockets has created a new position, vice president of operations services and training, and has hired Jim Kensinger to fill it. He will oversee the implementation of new technologies and techniques to improve operational productivity, increase efficiency, reduce costs and maintain industry standards, according to a company press release. 

"Jim has a proven track record in operational excellence,” said James Walker, the brand’s president of operations and development. "He is committed to driving forward our business priorities and supporting the success of our franchisees and restaurant teams to better serve our guests." 

Kensinger brings more than 35 years of experience to the Johnny Rockets team. Prior to joining the company, he was executive vice president at Catalina Restaurant Group, the parent company of Coco's Bakery Restaurants and Carrows Restaurants, where he was responsible for operations and training. He also supervised the development and implementation of numerous improvements including food and labor management systems, according to the release.

Expanding the opps team

Also joining Johnny Rockets is Chris Ferguson, director of operations for the East Coast, and Dillon McFarland, international franchise support manager for the Middle East and Asia. Ferguson is now responsible for overseeing domestic operations on the East Coast, while McFarland will support international growth in Middle Eastern and Asian markets, according to the release.
