Bartow, Florida, is home to Jimmy John's first drive-thru only site.
The restaurant — made from a prefab modular building — features a dual-sided drive-thru with a dedicated pick-up lane as well as dual-sided pick-up windows. It also has one lane designated for online and mobile orders.
"Jimmy John's has always been at the forefront of the industry, particularly when it comes to listening to our customers," Andrew Bello, VP of Design and Architecture at Inspire Brands, the parent company of Jimmy John's, said in a company press release. "This new drive-thru only model represents our continued commitment to evolve with our customers and serve the best, freshest sandwiches with speed and efficiency."
Other features include carryout lockers to offer an entirely contactless experience. Jimmy John's worked with ChangeUp and Tom Wolf Co on developing the design..
"From the start of the process, we knew we wanted to treat this space as an architectural billboard and create a physical manifestation of the Jimmy John's brand," Ryan Brazelton, chief creative Officer at ChangeUp, said in the release. "By bringing the brand to life in this way, we could ensure that every touchpoint, digital and physical, creates a cohesive experience that is unique to Jimmy John's."
