Jimmy John's opens first Massachusetts store

According to eater.com, Jimmy John's Gourmet Sandwiches is opening its first shop in Massachusetts. Renovations have begun at the new location, the Flats on D apartment complex in South Boston.

“A supporter of eco-friendly alternatives and local small businesses, Jimmy John’s is definitely a business with whom we are proud to share our building,” the Flats on D website stated.

Eater.com reports that another Massachusetts location is planned for the Charlesview retail space on Western Avenue in Brighton.
