Jimmy John's is open its newest location this week in Toronto's entertainment district.
The restaurant, located at 299 King St. W., will be the brand's seventh location in Ontario and its 11th in the country.
To mark the opening, the store will offer the first 100 guests a complimentary regular sandwich and a 16-ounce drink. Following the initial giveaway, regular classic sandwiches will be sold for $5 until closing on opening day.
"Opening on King Street West allows us to serve one of the most active neighborhoods in the country," said Kim Slongo, director of operations at Foodtastic, a restaurant franchisor that oversees over 1,200 locations. "The area attracts workers, residents, students and visitors throughout the day, which makes it a strong fit for a menu that focuses on fresh preparation, steady consistency and quick service."
The location joins existing restaurants in Etobicoke and the Greater Toronto Area, creating a network stretching to Vaughan. Additional openings are scheduled for early 2026.
Peter Mammas, president and CEO of Foodtastic, said the location's high foot traffic aligns with the company's fast casual service model.
"Jimmy John's delivers the goods in a fast and reliable way, which is sure to please our neighbors in this fast-paced and vibrant part of town," Mammas said. "Reliability and freshness are two of the reasons why Jimmy John's has become a favorite in cities across North America."
Foodtastic reports annual sales of $1 billion across its portfolio, which includes a mix of domestic and international restaurant brands.
