Jersey Mike’s Subs is now sourcing turkey raised without antibiotics at its more than 1,200 locations across the country.
"Consumers are looking for cleaner labels so converting one of our highest-selling products to Antibiotic Free Turkey made perfect sense," Michael Manzo, COO of Jersey Mike's, said in a company press release. "Since 1954, we have been committed to offering an authentic sub sandwich with top-quality ingredients, and this introduction maintains this tradition."
The product is 99 percent fat-free, vegetarian fed and contains no nitrates, hormones or preservatives, according to the release.
