Jersey Mike's Subs has been rapidly expanding throughout the Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia — the DMV region — with the help of real estate partner KLNB, a privately held commercial real estate brokerage firm. KLNB has closed 17 deals for Jersey Mike's across the DMV over the past 18 months, for a total of nearly 27,000 square feet and a lease volume of $10.46 million, according to a company press release.
"We're proud to have a strong partnership with the Jersey Mike's team, KLNB retail specialist Michael Ginsburg said in the release. "They have a savvy real estate team that is looking for topnotch opportunities with maximum exposure, superior accessibility and strong co-tenancy in the heart of major retail corridors and we have been able to deliver on fantastic opportunities for them."
Jersey Mike's, which has 1,700 units, is one of the few franchises expanding rapidly in the Baltimore market, KLNB principal Ryan Minnehan said.
They have a strong business model — they invest in the communities in which they do business and truly live up to their slogan of being a sub above — and customers notice," he said.
In Virginia, KLNB retail specialist Billy Kelly has closed seven deals over the past 14 months, and in D.C., principal Matt Skalet closed on the franchise's location at the Shops at Dakota Crossing.
