Jersey Mike's Subs is now open at Chicago's Union Station. The Grove Inc., a food and beverage operator, opened the restaurant in the upper concourse food court, immediately adjacent to the Jackson Street escalators. To celebrate the debut of its first Jersey Mike's in Chicago, TGI held a grand opening free sub fundraiser to support Special Olympics Chicago.
"We share Jersey Mike's commitment to quality products, exceptional customer service, and dedication to giving back to the local community — and I am excited to support a local worthy cause such as Special Olympics Chicago, which was founded right here in our hometown, Nina Madonia, CEO of The Grove, said in a company press release.
During the month of November, the Jersey Mike's Subs at Chicago Union Station will continue to accept donations to Special Olympics Chicago.
"Amtrak welcomes Jersey Mike's as a new option for the thousands of customers every day in our Food Court at Chicago Union Station who are looking for a fresh and tasty meal," Linda Frankel, senior real estate development manager for Amtrak, said in the release.
Jersey Mike's, which has 58 locations in the Chicagoland area, has more than 2,000 locations open and under development nationwide.
