Jason's Deli announced the addition of J.D. Nuggetz, a gluten-free chicken nugget, to its menu in all locations.
Produced for Jason's by Purdue, J.D. Nuggetz are antibiotic- and gluten-free. The chicken breast and rib meat nuggets are breaded with cornmeal and salt, instead of flour.
"The Jason's Deli team understands that today's dietary limitations are varied and families are challenged now more than ever to find convenient, healthy options," said Jamie Cohen, brand management director, in a company press release. "J.D. Nuggetz is another way we can accommodate our guests. From healthy to indulgent, we like to think there is something for everyone at Jason's Deli."
Gluten-free offerings are designed for those with gluten sensitivities or those who prefer to avoid gluten for nutritional reasons.
Precautions are taken to avoid cross-contamination, but gluten-free or gluten-sensitive customers are advised to inform their order taker of their preferences so additional precautions may be taken if necessary.
