Jars tapping Square to streamline operations

Jars, a dessert-in-a-jar concept by celebrity chef Fabio Viviani, has tapped Square to help grow and streamline its business, a high-volume concept leveraging the technology and labor-saving cooking techniques to produce desserts, shakes and coffee drinks. It hopes to open 100 locations and has signed deals for Southern and Northern California as well as Texas and Missouri.

Using Square, Jars will have streamlined payment processing, inventory and menu management and real-time visibility into business performance.

"I've spent over 30 years in the business as a chef and restaurateur, and as Jars began rapidly expanding, I knew we needed a technology solution that would create a seamless experience for guests, workers, and franchisees alike," Viviani said in a company press release. "With Square, we're able to easily manage operations across all of our locations and keep orders flowing efficiently as we grow."

Square offers software to run restaurant, retail and professional services operations, e-commerce tools, embedded financial services and banking products, buy now, pay later functionality through Afterpay, staff management and payroll capabilities.
