Jamba Juice gives away nearly half a million servings of fruit, veggies

August 14, 2014

Jamba Inc. gave away 217,000 servings of fruit and 283,000 servings of vegetables during its "Free Juice Giveaway" at stores systemwide earlier this month.

Jamba stores averaged over 215 hand-crafted juice samples each in just two hours, or almost two juices blended per minute, with one store giving away more than 780 free juices during that time.

"We are extremely pleased with the high turnout of consumers who attended our free juice event," said Jamba SVP and Chief Brand Officer Julie S. Washington, in a company press release. "It validates our position that, as consumers seek healthier beverage options, they are increasingly turning to juices blended from whole fruits and vegetables. Our company's vision is to inspire and simplify healthy living, and our freshly squeezed juices offer consumers a convenient, affordable and great-tasting way to get their daily requirement of fruits and vegetables."

Jamba launched the freshly squeezed juice platform in select stores in May 2013 and continues to expand into additional stores. The Company expects the new platform to be available across the system by early 2015.
