Jamba comps increase 3.8%

EMERYVILLE, Calif. — Jamba Inc. reported that system-wide same-store sales increased 3.3 percent for the third quarter ended Oct. 16, 2007. Comps at company-owned stores increased 3.8 percent while company-owned new store counts increased by 24, bringing the number of company-owned store count to 470.
 
Preliminary revenue increased 23.5 percent to $83.2 million, up from $67.4 million for the same period last year.
 
Jamba has experienced some temporary store closures due to the fires in Southern California. Fifteen locations were closed Oct. 22, 12 locations closed Oct. 23 and five closed Oct. 24. All stores now are open in the region.
 
Jamba will release 3Q '07 quarterly earnings after the close of market Nov. 20, 2007. at 5:00 p.m. EST.Jamba Inc. is a holding company and through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Jamba Juice Company, owns and franchises Jamba Juice stores. As of the end of 3Q '07, Jamba Juice has 672 locations.
