Izzo's Illegal Burrito Group and its sister brand, LIT pizza, have tapped Toast, an all-in-one restaurant technology platform, as their point-of-sale providers.
"Having used a legacy POS since inception, we decided a cloud-based system was the right choice to help us continue to scale and serve delicious burritos, pizza and more to our loyal customers," Ozzie Fernandez, co-founder and CEO at Izzo's Illegal Burrito Group, said in a press release. "Toast stood out as a partner that will lead innovation in the restaurant technology industry for many years to come."
Toast restaurant POS system offers advanced functionality to manage the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, including quick menu modifications, real-time enterprise reporting and labor management on an easy-to-use interface, said Aman Narang, Toast president and co-founder. The platform also features revenue-driving tools including physical and digital gift cards, loyalty programs, and online ordering.
"We're thrilled to welcome Izzo's Illegal Burrito Group to the Toast family," he said. "Izzo's, much like Toast, strives to deliver nothing but the best to its customers. We look forward to being part of the Izzo's Illegal Burrito and LIT Pizza guest journey for years to come."
Izzo's first opened July 23, 2001, at the south gates of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. It now has 16 units. Lit PIzza has two units in Baton Rouge and Gonzales, Louisiana.
