Rocket, an Ireland-based fast casual burger brand, is taking on the German market thanks to a partnership between its parent company — Rocket Restaurants Limited and — Areas, a subsidiary of Elior Deutschland GmbH, according to a company press release.
"We are delighted that Rocket Restaurants has chosen Areas as their managing partner for Germany," André Laroche, CEO Elior Deutschland, said in the release. “Rocket’s is an urban, premium-burger brand and suitable for locations at shopping centers, train stations and airports. We are certain that the Rocket’s brand will take the highly-competitive German market by storm”.
Niall Fortune, managing director of Rocket Restaurants, said he is thrilled to have secured a reliable partner for the German launch.
"We are convinced that Areas is the ideal partner to establish Rocket’s on a long-term and sustainable basis in Germany," he said. "Areas is experienced in building brand awareness and market share in a highly competitive but lucrative European market. Therefore, we have decided to cooperate exclusively with Areas as our partner in Germany.”
As part of the exclusive agreement, Areas and Rocket Restaurants have begun identifying suitable flagship locations at transport hubs as well as premises at shopping centers across Germany to launch the brand, according to the release.
