Investment firm signs 10-store deal with The Hummus & Pita Co.

New York-based investment firm Hexagon Hospitality's founders Mitch Kahn and Wade Vandegrift have partnered with The Hummus & Pita Co. to open a new Union Square location May 8.

According to a news release, Hexagon Hospitality will also be a capital partner as it pursues opportunities both in and out of New York for 10 total new units. The Hummus & Pita Co. and Hexagon Hospitality are currently negotiating leases for new locations in Midtown Manhattan, in addition to exploring opportunities in South Florida and the Boston area.

"The Hummus & Pita Co. is an extremely well-executed concept. We believe that owners Janice Axelrod and her sons David Pesso and Steve Pesso have the potential to scale coast to coast as demand among consumers for wholesome, fresh Mediterranean-inspired food continues to grow," Vandegrift said in the release.
