Int'l Franchise Association adds two executives

The International Franchise Association has added two government relations and public policy professionals to its team. They include:

• Elizabeth Hays Taylor, most recently chief counsel for the Senate Judiciary Committee Subcommittee on Privacy, Technology and the Law, will join IFA Dec. 8 as VP, Government Relations, Public Policy & Counsel. 
• Jeff Hanscom, most recently with the Direct Selling Association as Attorney & Government Relations Manager, joined IFA Nov. 17 as director of State Government Relations and Public Policy.

“Elizabeth and Jeff will be key players in our comprehensive, integrated strategy to ensure that franchising remains a vital component of the overall US economy. Elizabeth and Jeff represent the latest senior-level additions that we have made to protect, promote and enhance the franchise industry against a well-funded and orchestrated campaign to break the franchise model," CEO Steve Caldeira said in a news release.
