Inspire Brands exceeds $30B in global sales

Inspire Brands, which owns Jimmy John's, Arby's, Baskin Robbins, Dunkin' and Buffalo Wild Wings, exceeded $30 billion in global system sales in 2021, a double-digit year-over-year increase.
2021 performance highlights, according to a company press release, were:
- Expanded global footprint to nearly 32,000 restaurants in 70 markets around the world, including further expansion into Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America.
- Grew franchisee base by over 5% year-over-year, exceeding 3,400 total franchisees across the portfolio.
- Completed integration of fourth acquisition in four years with both Dunkin' and Baskin-Robbins having record system sales years.
- Achieved more than 35% year-over-year growth in U.S digital sales to more than $6B — accounting for over 20% of U.S. system sales.
- Exceeded $1 billion in sales via third-party marketplace.
- Digital sales now represent over $7 billion of Inspire's global sales.
- Grew the loyalty user base across all brands to nearly 50 million members.
- Opened over 1,400 restaurants globally.
- Launched Alliance Kitchen, a ghost kitchen operated by a multi-brand restaurant company.
- Opened the Inspire Innovation Center to trial technology and optimize operations.
- Deployed modern designs, new restaurant concepts and non-traditional locations across brands including Jimmy John's first drive-thru only site and Dunkin's first digital-only location; and introduced Buffalo Wild Wings GO with expectations to open 100 by the end of 2022.

"Grounded in our purpose to ignite and nourish flavorful experiences, and supported by shared capabilities and platforms, Inspire is poised for continued growth."
