Illegal Burger opens latest unit within 90 days of signing lease

November 8, 2018

Illegal Burger has opened its fifth Colorado unit at 652 S. Colorado Blvd., in Glendale, Colorado, according to a press release from West Coast Ventures Group Corp., its parent company.

The buildout took only 90 days, said WCVC Founder and CEO Jim Nixon, who touted the success of the company's "rapid restaurant buildout model." Its goal is to complete buildout within 90 days of signing the lease.

"We are delighted with the speed of the buildout of this new location," said Nixon about the model that combines a commitment to sustainable design with a modular approach, which results in a lower buildout cost and a greater speed to revenue for each new location. "And for the short time this location has been open, we are pleased that the revenue run rate is exceeding our projections," Nixon said. "We believe that our pioneering approach will bring incredible additional value to our customers and shareholders."

WCVC, based in Colorado, owns Illegal Burger and El Senor Sol, a full-service Mexican restaurant.
