Ike's making waves in Hawaii

San Francisco-based Ike's Love & Sandwiches has opened a beachfront location in Kona, Hawaii.

"My pre-Ike's journey started on the Islands when I took some time to retreat from my previous business failures," founder Ike Shehadeh said in a company press release. "Hawaii will forever be a key reason why I was able to flourish after hitting rock bottom."

The menu, which blends the chain's sandwiches with the essence of Hawaiian culinary tradition, includes an "Ike-fied version" of the Loco Moco, exclusive breakfast sandwiches, Ike's Donut and collaborations with local Chef Alan Wong and Astrologer Alice Inoue. It also includes a drink menu.

Ike's has over 100 locations.
