Ike's kicking off California growth spurt

Marking its 75th brand overall, Ike's Love & Sandwiches is making its Templeton, California, debut in June a part of a major California expansion.

Over the last three months, the San Franciso-based brand has opened in Culver City, El Segundo and Del Mar with several more coming soon, according to a company press release.

The chain has over 800 original sandwiches on the menu, including vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free styles, and each location carries a group of exclusive sandwiches named after local icons that inspire Founder Ike Shehadeh. Debuting at the Templeton location are "Screaming Eagle," a chicken fried steak sandwich with BBQ sauce, ranch and pepper jack cheese; "T-Bones TMA," a turkey sandwich stuffed with mozzarella sticks and avocado; and "Brand Walsh" made with steak, garlicky tomato pesto and provolone.
