I Heart Mac & Cheese arrives in Tallahassee this week

South Florida-based I Heart Mac & Cheese will open the doors of a Tallahassee location Thursday.

The fast casual restaurant is located at 799 W. Gaines St. in the heart of College Town. It will be serving its signature combinations along with two Tallahassee-exclusive items, the Garnet and Gold Bowl and the Tomahawk Bowl, according to a press release.

The Garnet and Gold Bowl has marinara sauce over macaroni, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, pesto and pepperoni. The Tomahawk Bowl has a broccoli and cauliflower base with mushrooms, corn, carrots, scallions, jalapenos, grilled chicken and Asian sesame and mango habanero dressing.

"We are excited to introduce our quick, affordable and delicious menu offerings to the FSU campus community and the surrounding neighborhoods," said Stephen Giordanella, CEO and chairman of I Heart Mac & Cheese, in the release. "With our late-night hours, versatile menu and budget-friendly options, we’re bringing students, staff and visitors the comforting taste of childhood in a fun, laid-back environment."
