Huey Magoo's is hoping to add 100 units in 2026. To advance the goal, the Orlando-headquartered company is looking westward and has inked a 15-unit franchise agreement with SMR Capital Group to bring its chicken tenders to Texas.
"We continue to attract proven operators who see the strength of the Huey Magoo's brand and our ability to scale," Andy Howard, president and CEO of Huey Magoo's, said in a press release. "The SMR Capital Group brings the right combination of operational expertise and development experience, and we're confident in their ability to successfully grow the brand across Texas."
Managing partner Muhammad Ali Akbar and operating partner Jason Gilbert lead SMR Capital and is targeting Brazoria, Chambers, Fort Bend, Galveston and Montgomery counties in the Lone Star State.
