Huey Magoo's is adding a second store in Georiga with its opening today in Valdosta. The 2,586-square-foot restaurant, which features a drive-thru, is the first of six locations that franchisees, Buck Harris and Brooklyn Harris, will open in southwest Georgia, according to a company press release.
"We are excited to open our first Huey Magoo's franchise in Valdosta and be a part of the community of my childhood," said Buck Harris, who has been a franchisee for Chick-Fil-A and Chicken Salad Chick. "I was born in Valdosta, raised in South Georgia, and my father played football at Valdosta in the '60s. We have a long family history here."
CEO Andy Howard said the Valdosta store was the first of several grand openings planned for 2021.
"We are continually expanding and breaking records company-wide, even throughout the ongoing pandemic, and I'm incredibly proud of our outstanding team and proven best chicken tenders," he said in the release.
Huey Magoo's also has a store in Loganville, Georgia. The brand was founded in Central Florida in 2004 and is expanding throughout the Southeast with multiple locations in Florida, Georgia and Mississippi and is coming soon to Tennessee, South Carolina and Alabama.
