In preparation of expanding, Ohio-based Hot Dog Shoppe has created two roles, hiring Zach Weiser to lead field operations and Greg Kenyon to fill the role of corporate chef, Greg Vojnovic, Hot Dog Shoppe's CEO and president, said in a company press release.

"Zach brings strong leadership and operational skills to the company," Vojnovic, who purchased the family founded and operated brand earlier this year, said in the release. "His experience with industry leaders Applebee's and TGI Friday's will be a welcome addition to our organization as we continue to build on the culture of our company. These well-known casual dining companies are highly respected for a reason and Zach exemplifies why they have been so successful and make him a natural fit for guest-favorite Hot Dog Shoppe."

As the founding family members begin to transition away from the company, Vojnovic said he realized he needed a culinary leader, which is why he said he hired Kenyon.

"Greg brings leadership and much needed culinary skills to ensure a seamless continuation of the brand, Vojnovic said. "We've been in the business for 75 years and are operators. Value, quality and authenticity are what our guests look for and that is what we do best."

The Hot Dog Shoppe was founded in 1946 in Warren, Ohio, and has three locations.
