Hopscotch opens in Toronto

January 25, 2017

Hopscotch, a health-conscious, fast casual brand that started in London, has opened in Toronto.

Hopscotch not only sources produce locally but also serves chicken raised without antibiotics or hormones, and uses environmentally conscious packaging. Organic salads, rice, quinoa bowls, smoothies, juices, and roasted coffee are some of the nutritious options consumers can find at Hopscotch, according to a company press release.

"One of our biggest initiatives was to source all of our produce from local farmers we know and trust," said Aiden Booth, who founded the brand with his brother, Wyatt. "When we source locally, we’re supporting our community and other local businesses but we’re also in complete control over the freshness of the food we serve. That’s really important to us."

Serving the community is rooted in Hopscotch's foundation; the brand donates all proceeds from any opening day location's sales to a local school in order to build programs which focus on educating students about healthy eating, according to the release.
