July 15, 2015

Honey Baked Ham has become centralized, according to a recent report. Regionalized operating divisions of Honey Baked Ham in Georgia, Michigan, and Ohio were combined into one, and the company expected that this consolidation would affect the overall effectiveness of the company’s operations. As a part of combining, Honey Baked Ham centralized its sourcing, management, and operations for the company nationwide, according to the report.

Honey Baked Ham expected several benefits to occur by bringing together resources and creating a single support system.

Some of these improvements, as stated in the press release, included:

  • Increasing Honey Baked Ham’s financial capacity.
  • Streamlining overall operations.
  • Enhancement of both the speed and flexibility of the company’s decision making.
  • National brand consistency
  • And lower cost.

"The consolidation is a logical next step in the company's evolution," Honey Baked Ham CEO David A. Keil, said in the report.  "Uniting the internal aspects of our organization allows us to combine the strengths from each division and create an even stronger company and quality experience for our customers."
