London-based Hero Brands has promoted Jon Cullen from Group Franchise Recruitment & Development director at German Doner Kebab to chief development and recruitment officer of its entire portfolio. Hero owns GDK as well as Choppaluna and Island Poke, both based in London.
The promotion follows the appointment of Christian Bradford and Steve Turner as international development directors for Hero Brands F&B division.
"I am excited to be moving into this role to drive the growth of our brand portfolio," Cullen said in a company press release. "We have a family of game-changing brands that are responding to the needs of the modern consumer and I'm looking forward to working with our team to drive global growth."
Hero CEO Imran Sayeed said Cullen has been a key figure in establishing German Doner Kebab, which first opened in 1989 in Berlin and is based in Glasgow, Scotland. The chain also has locations in the Middle East and is expanding in the U.S., Canada, Saudi Arabia and Ireland.
"His experience has been invaluable in developing our partnership strategy and we are excited for him to move into this new role that will lead the growth of our game-changing brand portfolio," Sayeed said.
Cullen has spent most of the last 15 years working with international brands coming into the UK market to find master franchisees and area development franchisees and distribution partners for Europe, Asia Pacific, Middle East and the U.S.
