Healthy Fast Food development momentum on a roll

August 19, 2010

Healthy Fast Food Inc. has announced several new franchise deals this week, the first of which will see a unit development of U-Swirl in Marietta, Ga., one of metro Atlanta's largest suburbs.

Franchise partner River Jordan Inc., headed by Nicole Jenkins, will open the unit and is scouting available retail space for its first café. It will be the U-Swirl location in the state.

Additionally, the company has signed a deal with Arizona Swirl LLC, to bring the U-Swirl experience to Mesa and Scottsdale, Ariz.

Arizona Swirl has signed a deal to open 18 locations throughout the Phoenix areas and has signed leases for the first two, according to the company.

During the second quarter of 2010, Healthy Fast Food Inc. revenues increased 123 percent to $846,230, up from $379,572.

Net loss declined 81 percent to $39,043, or $0.01 per basic and fully diluted share, from $205,336, or $0.08 per basic and fully diluted share.

"We are very pleased with the success we have achieved, thus far, in expanding the U-Swirl franchise system out of Nevada and into several states across the country,” said Hank Cartwright, CEO of Healthy Fast Food. “With 30 new stores contracted for development over the next three to five years and a number of new franchising deals in the works, we have made notable progress since opening our very first company-owned cafe just 16 months ago.”
