Hakka Bakka Indian Kati Rolls is bringing Indian street food to Chicago's West Loop in early November, opening its second location at 1002 W. Lake St., according to a company press release. The original opened in Lincoln Park near DePaul in 2015.
Hakka Bakka, a fast casual concept providing a simplistic approach to Indian food, uses fresh ingredients and authentic recipes to showcase the myriad of flavors that truly represent the diverse cultural experience that is Indian cuisine, according to the release.
"We're excited to bring a new, flavorful and affordable lunch option to the constantly evolving West Loop," owner Kaushik Guha said in the release. "Just steps from the heart of Chicago's Restaurant Row, we thought that our Indian street food would round out the neighborhood really well."
The 1,400-square-foot-space will seat 30 guests and feature a similar design and menu to the Lincoln Park outpost. New to the West Loop location will be a focus on late-night dining Friday and Saturday nights with a limited menu available until 2 a.m.
"The West Loop is a nightlife hotspot, and the Kati Roll is a perfect food after a late night out with friends, the way it was intended to be had," Guha said.
In conjunction with the opening, Hakka Bakka is unveiling a vegetarian and non-vegetarian bento box for $13, available for dine-in only at both locations
