Over 50 years after opening its first unit in Santa Barbara, California, The Habit Burger Grill is adding a location Friday in Olympic, Cambodia, marking its fourth unit in the country.
"It is an honor to open our fourth Habit restaurant location in Cambodia in partnership with (franchisee) Kampuchea Tela Company LTD," Iwona Alter, The Habit Burger Grill chief brand officer, said in a company press release. "We look forward to serving the Phnom Penh community handcrafted, chargrilled food with California-fresh flavor, delivered with best-in-class hospitality."
Kampuchea Tela Company, which introduced the first petroleum retail in Cambodia in 1993 and later opened the first Lube Oil with a mini-mart attached, has expanded into the hospitality industry with a full-service dining restaurant and a multi-unit international franchise concept in Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
Owned by Yum Brands, The Habit Burger Grill has over 280 restaurants in 14 states as well as 12 international locations.
