Giardino goes for the grains

Florida-based Giardino Gourmet Salads, has launched its largest menu rollout in recent years with the addition several grain bowls.

"We're thrilled about these new bowl additions as they really highlight the diverse flavor profiles that reflect the cosmopolitan makeup of our customer base,” Ody Lugo, co-founder and board member of Giardino Gourmet Salads, said in a company press release. “While we serve food with fresh and healthier-for-you ingredients, we also aim to create memorable and craveable experiences that make you want to come back.

"Customers responded so well to our initial test that we decided to immediately roll it out to our entire network of restaurants across the Southeast. This new menu launch is part of our overall culinary vision to incorporate flavors and ingredients from around the world while taking into account evolving consumer tastes and preferences."

The menu includes:

  • My Big Fat Greek Bowl: Quinoa, arugula, plum tomatoes, cucumber, black olives, feta cheese, hummus, pita chips and an olive vinaigrette
  • Tuscan Sun: Brown rice, baby leaf lettuce, sun dried tomatoes, garbanzo beans, shredded Parmesan, red bell peppers, 100 percent natural chicken breast, Caesar dressing and basil pesto
  • El Caribe: jasmine rice, iceberg lettuce, plum tomatoes, avocado, cucumber, black beans, 100 percent natural chicken breast, plantain chips and citrus cilantro vinaigrette
