German Doner Kebab opening 2nd US location

Scotland-based German Doner Kebab is opening its second U.S.-based location early next year in Queens, New York. The brand entered the U.S. market in 2021with its restaurant at American Dream Mall in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

"The USA is a huge market for German Doner Kebab," Managing Director for North America Nigel Belton said in a company press release. "We are excited to be announcing our second site with many more to come, as we embark on a nationwide journey of growth throughout the next decade."

Freshly prepared in front of customers, kebabs combine premium, lean, succulent meats, and fresh local vegetables served in toasted bread with signature sauces.

"We have bold plans for the USA and Canada. American Dream Mall in New Jersey has been an anchor location for us in the USA and has provided a launchpad for us to develop new, exciting locations like Astoria in Queens," Belton said. "2023 will prove to be a landmark year in our story, as we expand to new markets and bring the German Doner Kebab experience to more customers in North America, as we build the fast-casual brand of the future."

GDK's 140 locations span Europe, the Middle East, Canada and the U.S.
