Genghis Grill invades California

Genghis Grill has finally reached the Golden State, opening its first California location Feb. 24 at the Mira Mesa Shopping Center in San Diego, according to a company press release.

"We are thrilled to bring Genghis Grill to the people of San Diego," said Pinal Sitaram, who owns the unit with Neil Bhakta, Paco Patel and Ash Patel. "The concept has grown in popularity as it has expanded across the nation because the food is exceptional and it's perfect for busy folks looking for delicious, healthy meals prepared exactly the way they like them."

The first Genghis Grill opened in 1998 in Dallas and the brand now has nearly 110 locations across the U.S.
