Colorado-based Garbanzo Mediterranean Grill announced today the awarding of franchise development rights to Sodexo Inc. Headquartered in Gaithersburg, Md., Sodexo operates in the U.S., Canada and Mexico and delivers on-site services in corporate, education, health care, government and remote site segments, as well as benefits and rewards services and personal and home services, according to a company press release.
As part of its partnership agreement with the Mediterranean concept, Sodexo plans to open Garbanzo locations across the U.S. in its health care, education, government and corporate business segments where insights support the consumer's preference for authentic Mediterranean cuisine.
"The frontrunner in quality of life services, Sodexo is the ideal partner to help introduce Garbanzo to these non-traditional markets," said Bob Bafundo, Garbanzo vice president of company and franchise operations. "They are representative of the fresh and healthy standards for which Garbanzo is known, making this collaboration ever more relevant for the future of non-traditional dining."
Garbanzo is an emerging concept that is quickly gaining recognition in the marketplace as consumer demand grows for Mediterranean and its health benefits, said John Wright, vice president of offer development, Sodexo.
