Garbanzo Mediterranean Fresh is getting ready to kick off a franchise growth effort with plans to open 50 locations focused on Rocky Mountain states, the Midwest and south through Texas.
The brand recently completed two big franchise deals in key markets, including a five-location deal in Boston area and a 25-plus deal that covers all of Kentucky and Indiana as well as the Cincinnati area, according to a press release.
"Momentum is on our side and now is the time to join the next wave of fast casual growth," said Larry Sidoti, chief development officer of Garbanzo Mediterranean Fresh, in the release. "The Garbanzo franchise opportunity has been developed with low start-up costs, which results in a quick ROI for franchisees. The brand has driven positive same-store sales for twelve consecutive quarters and has managed to support profitability with low pricing despite rising commodity costs."
Garbanzo placed in the top five of the Fast Casual 2019 Top 100 Movers & Shakers list, an annual ranking of brands and executives leading the restaurant industry through creativity, hard work and progressiveness.
The brand's growth strategy ahead includes signing at least 10 more franchisees this year and adding 50 locations each year, according to the release.
