Garbanzo launching fourth Maryland location

Garbanzo Mediterranean Grill opens its fourth Maryland location Feb. 26 in Annapolis, Md., at 2341 Forest Dr., in the Festival at Riva shopping center. The new restaurant is the fourth company-owned restaurant to open in Maryland and the 28th location nationwide, according to a company press release.

On grand opening day, Garbanzo is holding hourly in-store prize drawings for items such as an Apple iPod nano, Wii Mini, Apple TV, Kindle Fire HD, Amazon.com gift cards and Garbanzo gift cards. Guests should register at the restaurant on opening day for a chance to win, according to the release.

The new location is also hosting a fundraiser dinner from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Feb 25 on behalf of Anne Arundel County Court Appointed Special Advocates Inc., a nonprofit organization whose mission is to advocate for and support abused and neglected children in the court system. The public is invited to attend for a $5 suggested donation.

"We are very excited to open our fourth Maryland location and bring the fresh, healthy and authentic Mediterranean flavors to Annapolis," said Alon Mor, Garbanzo founder, president and CEO. "Our Annapolis fans have been asking for a Garbanzo in their area for months, and we are happy to deliver on our promise to them."

The Mediterranean fast casual concept currently has 19 company-owned units — 15 in Colorado and four in Maryland. The additional nine restaurants are franchisee-owned and located in seven different states throughout the country.
