Garbanzo adds 2 locations

Colorado-based Garbanzo Mediterranean Grill is opening its second Orange County, Calif., franchise this week and its a third Maryland location Monday.

The Orange County unit, 6278 Irvine Blvd., in Irvine, is owned and operated by Garbanzo franchisee EOI Capital, which has the rights to develop up to 20 locations in Orange County east of I-5.

"We are very proud to be opening a second Orange County location in only two months," said Bob Bafundo, Garbanzo vice president of company and franchise operations. "EOI Capital is a strong partner with a fantastic vision for helping spread the Garbanzo experience throughout Southern California."

The Maryland restaurant is in the Waugh Chapel Towne Centre at 1406 S. Main Chapel Way in Gambrills. It's the third company-owned Garbanzo to open outside Colorado and the 24th location nationwide.

"Waugh Chapel Towne Centre is one of the newest and most popular dining, shopping and entertainment destinations in the Gambrills area," said Scott Black, Garbanzo director of operations. "Our healthy, fresh and authentic Mediterranean menu will be a great fit for such a vibrant and growing neighborhood shopping center."
