Fuzzy's Taco Shop opening 2nd Charlotte location

December 17, 2018

Fuzzy's Taco Shop, a Baja-style taco joint founded in 2003, near the TCU college campus in Fort Worth, Texas, opens its second Charlotte, North Carolina, location at 10 a.m., today, according to a company press release. To celebrate the grand opening of the unit at 4824 Berewick Town Center Dr., Fuzzy's is giving its first 10 guests free taco plates for a year. The next 40 guests will receive a $15 gift card, and the chain will host a drawing next week to award 15 of its guests free taco plates for one year.

"Charlotte has embraced Fuzzy's Taco Shop, and we are excited to open our second location here," said Merrick McKinnie, president of Southern Deli Holdings LLC, the franchisee owner and operator of Fuzzy's Taco Shop in Charlotte. "We will continue to bring amazing breakfast and Baja-style tacos to the masses while dishing out excellent service as well."

The brand, which celebrates its 15th anniversary this year and has grown to 146 restaurants in 19 states, serves Mexican favorites with a splash of Baja and breakfast all day, with many restaurants featuring a patio and bar serving schooners of beer and margaritas, according to the release.
