January 26, 2022

Fuku, a New York-based fried chicken joint, is making its Lexington, Kentucky debut Wednesday. Thanks to a partnership with Franklin Junction, a virtual kitchen growth network, consumers may order from all major delivery platforms, including UberEats, DoorDash, Grubhub, and Postmates. The Lexington location is the first of over 50 planned in 2022.

"We couldn't be more excited to introduce Fuku to Lexington and to join its vibrant culinary scene," Alex Munoz-Suarez, CEO of Fuku, said in a company press release. "Being in close proximity to the University of Kentucky, we hope we'll be the food of choice for late-night study breakers and Kentucky Wildcats tailgaters."

Fuku, founded by David Chang, started as a secret sandwich at Momofuku Noodle Bar in NYC and has since grown to serve a variety of fried chicken offerings and sides. It has storefronts at Hudson Yards and Rockefeller Center in NYC, as well as stadiums, arenas and ghost kitchens throughout the country.

"We are ecstatic to help Fuku bring their iconic spicy fried chicken sandwiches to the Lexington community," states Rishi Nigam, CEO and Co-Founder of Franklin Junction. "Our Host Kitchen network enables us to offer craveable, high-quality brands like Fuku to people all across the country and we are excited to welcome Fuku to our platform with this initial launch in Lexington."
