Following a recent announcement marking a new, 10-unit franchise commitment to develop restaurants in Chile, South America, Fuddruckers is on the move again. The Texas-born, fast casual brand will soon enter Europe, according to a company press release.
The 34-year-old company, which is owned and operated by Luby's Inc., has just inked a deal with Italian-based Vinum et Alia that will initially introduce 10 restaurants throughout Italy, Poland and Switzerland. The partnership anticipates the first opening in Verese, a city just north of Milan, according to the release.
Vinum et Alia launched in 2005, and affiliated brands include Old Wild West, Don Peperone, Done Pep Express and Arabian Kebab, according to the release.
"We are pleased to introduce continental Europe to the pleasures of the world's greatest hamburger, and we are excited about the opportunities that continue to present themselves for further expansion around the globe," said Peter Tropoli, COO of Luby's. "With its high quality burgers and other fare, accessibility and inviting atmosphere, Fuddruckers represents the best of the American fast casual segment."
