December 10, 2015

Fuddruckers has plans to more than double its presence in Florida with regional franchisee Urdaneta, Reyes and Videla, according to a company press release. The chain is anticipating a Dec. 14 debut of a new 6,300-square-foot restaurant at Market Square in Fort Myers. This is the third opening as a result of the partnership, which is developing an additional seven restaurants in and around Tampa and Orlando.  Fuddruckers currently has two sites in Orlando and five in South Florida, spanning Fort Lauderdale to Miami.

"We have a large and loyal fan base in Florida, and we are thrilled to be growing our presence in the state with franchisee Urdaneta, Reyes and Videla, making it easier than ever for Floridians to get a taste of the world's greatest hamburgers," said Peter Tropoli, COO of Luby's, the chain's parent company,

The Fort Myers location at 5050 Daniels Parkway, just off S. Tamiami Trail, will accommodate 182 diners and also offer a patio with seating for more than 40 guests. An engaging design scheme, which references Fuddruckers' classic, Americana origins, will set an inviting backdrop for a family gathering, work lunch or date night, Tropoli said.
