Freshii signs multiunit So Cal deal
January 11, 2010
Entrepreneurs and brothers Robbie and Jeff Sosna have signed a multiunit franchise deal to open 10 Freshii restaurants in Los Angeles.
The Sosna brothers plan to open their LA stores in Westwood, Studio City, Pasadena, Burbank, Glendale, Culver, Farmers Market and the Miracle Mile, and aim to open their first location by mid-2010.
Robbie moved to Los Angeles to start his own fresh food concept with his brother, Jeff, an MBA in accounting. "In the process of doing my research I came across Freshii and its founder Matthew Corrin, and after seeing so many similarities between us and being impressed with how much Matthew had accomplished in such a short period of time, I was excited to join Freshii at such an exciting stage of its growth and expand it Los Angeles."
Freshii's popularity has skyrocketed since the first location opened in Toronto in 2005, winning Freshii the title of Best New Retail Concept in Canada during its first year of business. Two years later, Freshii was named the 22nd Fastest Growing Company in Canada.
There are 16 units in Chicago and Toronto, and an additional 200 units in varying stages of development in Washington, D.C.; Denver; Orange County, Calif.; Houston; New York City and Philadelphia, and internationally in Canada, Austria and Dubai.
