Freshii shows its Cubs love with free franchise offer

If the Chicago Cubs win the 2016 World Series, Freshii will mark the achievement with a unique giveaway: a free franchise.

The better-for-you fast casual restaurant said in a press release that it will present the prize to a new franchise partner. The winner must meet all franchise criteria and be a lifelong Cubs devotee in order to have the $30,000 franchise fee waived.

Additionally, the new franchise location must be near Wrigley Field and the owner must bear the cost for build-out and equipment.

"Freshii thinks this is the year the Cubs will make a run in the postseason, so we're raising the stakes by offering to waive our usual franchise fee and bring a diehard Cubs fan into the system," Freshii Chicago Master Franchise Holder and Cubs fan David Grossman said of the chain's #GoCubiis promotion. "As the Cubs say, 'we are good,' and we at Freshii want to eat things that make us feel good."
